Twice a year—in spring and fall—the artists of the Livestock Exchange Building open their doors to the public. The artists welcome you into their studios to explore the art, the process, and the spaces where creativity happens. From painting and jewelry to textiles, sculpture, and photography, the event offers a rare chance to meet and support the artists where they work.
a Kansas City landmark built in 1911, still showcases its original woodwork and tile, offering a historic backdrop to a thriving creative community. Nestled in the heart of the West Bottoms, wandering the 9 floors feels like a treasure hunt, with each corner revealing a new artist and medium. Don’t worry—we’ll have a directory waiting for you at the door to help guide your adventure.
